Resident Evil needs to give up on numbered sequels

Bitmob writes: Resident Evil 6 makes me weep. The series that used to haunt my dreams as a kid is long gone, and something sort of like Gears of War took its place. Amusingly, I’ve tried forcing my way through RE6’s campaigns at least six times at this point, but I always throw my controller aside in frustration. (3DS, PC, PS3, Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil 5, Resident Evil 6, Resident Evil Revelations, Xbox 360)

I couldn't even make it through the demo, it was so bad. I can't imagine trying to play through the actual game without dying of boredom and disappointment. I recently purchased and played through RE 4 HD on PS3 to remind myself what a good RE game is like. I wouldn't mind if Capcom assembled a talented development team to remake RE 2 in the same way they remade the original game.

Lol. I made it through the Leon demo and gave up after 2 minutes of the Jake demo when it turned into a cover based shooter. Haven't tried the chris demo.
