BT writes: With Halloween coming up soon, it’s always a good time to examine the things that terrify us. For many of us, the simple spider is a source of horror and disgust. Luckily, game designers have given us an outlet for our fear by making lots and lots of virtual spiders for us to squash. Of course, at some point, someone realized that little spiders were boring, so that evil person started to make giant spiders, giving arachnophobes something new to be afraid of. This list celebrates the cream of the crop when it comes to Giant Spiders, specifically those who were raised to boss status.
The rules for this list are simple:
1. It has to have eight legs.
2. It has to be at least half spider.
3. It has to be a boss, either having a proper boss fight or the a significant antagonistic role in the game.
"Dark Souls: Archthrones is like playing a brand new FromSoftware game, and that speaks volumes about just how much good modding can do," says Hanzala from eXputer.
Parrying has been creeping into more games, with almost every high-profile title of the last few years featuring it in some way. Why?
i understand the authors frustration i'm not the best at parrying in games. not that i can't complete a game that requires it but it is a definite harder thing for me than other kinds of techniques in games. which might be the main reason it's so heavily added in games nowadays. want to make your game challenging without having to do a lot of work? just add a parry boss. (what i mean by parry boss is a boss you have to beat by parrying such that their attacks will kill you otherwise)
I always think it's fine as long as such games also have the roll/dodge panic button. But I understand the will to parry, it seems so cinematic in a fight when you pull it off.

I like spiders. They kill annoying insects like flies and mosquitos
I'm not scared of spiders, I just hate them because they bite me :p
No love for Demon's Souls Armor Spider :(
