The Xbox 360 Gets a $50 Price Cut at GameStop Beginning Tomorrow

Kotaku has heard from a source that, beginning tomorrow, the Xbox 360's 250GB configuration, and the 4GB bundle that includes the Kinect sensor, will both get $50 price cuts at GameStop beginning tomorrow, lowering their price to $249.99.

Great price for the 360 slim but I would avoid the kinect version its a waste of time. All those motion controlers are a waste of time IMO.

For $50 more you could get one with Kinect, I think it offers quite a bit to the Xbox 360 experience, even if you just like voice controlled or motion controlled menus. I use Kinect all the time for Hulu, ESPN, Netflix and just using the dash as a whole.

Just my two cents though.

I use mine for controlling the menus, as well as a few games. Fable is fantastic with it.

Or you could get like 5 games off of eBay or even from Amazon if you hold off a little instead of wasting the money on something like Kinect.

Anyways 360 could beat last years win with over all more annual sales by a million or much more this year with huge tittles, XBL update, price drop

$50 more for a better bundle compared to the normal sku at normal price at all other retailers

Also, that 'other retailer' EB Games was bought out by Gamestop. They are one in the same.. see their little catch phrase under EB Games; "power to the players"?

Kinect is far from a waste of time if you get it for the right price. Its aimed at family entertainment and it does it well. As for more serious games, I had far less trouble setting up Kinect to work for Forza than I did setting the PS3 eye up with GT5.

Kinect may just be the EyeToy on steroids but nothing wrong with that when it comes to family game time.

Still peeved over the fact they had the balls to release a slim that was only 4GB. What a useless amount of storage. 1GB is already taken up by the system settings and what not. 3GB isn't going to do much...

Actually you only get 2.2 GB to use as 1.8 GB is used for system info. I know this because a friend of mine bought the 4 GB model.

You could always get a cheap USB stick for additional storage. I got a 16GB awhile back on sale for $20 and I have a 250GB HDD. Never hurts to add more space :)

at least were past the days where you get a 20 gig HDD and only have 12 gigs to save things on. At least back then XBL wasn't overflowing with DLC (pointless and needed stuff)

i bought the 4gb model. I bought a used 360 oem hdd frm ebay for $10 a case for $10 & have a slim with a oem hdd on the cheap

This is fantastic, a price cut out of no where. should get people to invest even more into an Xbox this coming holiday season. An even more attractive price shouldn't hurt.

BTW is this permanent?

Its interesting that they had the most expensive console for like a year yet the 360 has been on top console on the NPD for months.
