Fuse continues the co-op direction of the game, but has shifted its look to a style that tilts more toward realism than fantasy.
Some internet reaction has labeled the new style powering Fuse as just another 'standard military shooter,' but Insomniac says it's not totally shunning the game's fantastical elements.
"We have our underwater bases. We've got missiles and volcanoes. We have a lot of exotic situations but at the same time we want people to take the universe seriously," Insomniac Creative Director Brian Allgeier told Joystiq at the 2012 New York Comic Con.
I love how people have begun to act like they cared all along....
It looks pretty generic now, why buy another game that's liable to look and play like games we've seen before. I'm not saying it's bad now, it's just by being less unique and quirky it reduced my incentive to buy it / be interested.
Fact is we are getting closer and closer to a graphical wall. Technically PS3/X360 can't push any further they have hit their wall with graphics. So yes some games look similar with graphical styles. Doesn't mean they play exactly the same though.
I mean Medal of Honor, Battlefield... EA would have done well to go a little more balls to the wall. especially with their stock price in the toilette.
gtfo thanks
I feel for Insomniac as it wasn't their decision and their original goal for this game seemed more appropriate by far.
EA is a bit too confident with their decisions and they fail to see how it will affect anyone but themselves. We'll let the sales decide...
