GP writer Marcus Estrada discusses his thoughts in relation to another writer's on amateur game development and why people should not be dissuaded from trying to create games.
I think that everyone should be encouraged to try their hand at creating a game as long as it's something they've wanted to try. Just because the final product might never get complete or be as polished as a vast majority of AAA titles, it doesn't mean that the game is junk or a waste of time. Everyone has to start somewhere and I think that you can find plenty of indie titles that might not be the prettiest game out there but are fun to play.
