Epic Mickey 2 Will Force You to Use the TV: No Gamepad Screen Support

Disney Interactive has confirmed some disappointing news. Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two won’t have “TV off” support, so you won’t be able to play the game using only the gamepad’s screen. (Dev, Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two, Wii U)

UH OH...Sounds like they rushed this port. That can not be good. This game and Madden I am worried about. Although Madden is not getting the same upgrades as PS3 and Xbox they still made great use of the Gamepad. From what I have read anyway. I still wish they would have given Wii U the new engine for Madden.

Uh... big deal? As far as I know, the majority of Wii U games don't support the "playing only on the gamepad screen" feature. That is a option that game developers are free to pursue or not, according to their interests.

That doesn't mean Epick Mickey 2 won't use the GamePad screen at all, which the article of the title suggests at first glance. Very misleading.

I was hoping every game would have this. Bummer.

I doubt this is a sign of things to come and more that the Wii U is new. Who knows when they got their dev kits and how long it takes to get used to developing for that GamePad.
