I'm staying away from the N4G site when the reviews for Halo 4 comes out PERIOD. I know, without a doubt, that fanboy wars will erupt and sure as hell will not be pretty. Mark my words on that.
Well another reason is that if it is a fake video and someone made it look like the worst game of the year it would put off people from pre-ordering.
On top of that if it really is a terrible game and it has a lot of hype behind it (therefore meaning it will sell) then you dont want those people who are pre-ordering it to cancel.
skyrim was leaked 3 weeks early, saints row 2 was leaked almost 2 months early...i can keep going, almost every game is leaked at least a little early and then uploaded on to torrent sites for people to play on their modded 360's.

Looks fake, there is no cover for the case you can see straight through to the table and if there is actually two discs (even though I have never heard that it has and I've been following the game closely, but it may have slipped by) why would there NOT be a second holder for it or a game manual? Good attempt but pathetic in the end.
but you think they would have mentioned something about it being two discs. Having a surprise two disc game isn't something companies typically like to do. I don't mind if it is or not but the fact I never read anything about it in an interview before is weird. Like I said too if they did say something I could have missed it, it's always possible.
Summons, 2 Discs have been confirmed but you really don't even use disc 2. You Install Disc 2 on your Xbox for the multiplayer portion and then put in disc 1 to play everything including Multiplayer. Disc 2 is just an install disc.
Why do people promote stuff like this? Fine you got the game before release. There's a high possibility of being band from Xbox Live and even a fine for you or the retailer. Is that really worth it.
You dont get banned. I have had a few games early, you might only have a few hundred people on playing it. gears 3 for example i had that a week early and it even had a message saying "you are one of the lucky few to play gears early please bare with us while we iron out a few bugs before release day" also had mw2 early and fable 3. just a heads up for those that get worried about this stuff.

These people "promote" that they got it early by using YouTube and other websites. This is when they have a "possibility" of getting banned or fined. If a retailer is found to be in violation it could ruin them. Fines are not something to laugh at.
Street dates are broken all the time but promoting it is foolishness.
I read the part about a high possibility of being band, and then I confirmed that you wont get banned. I know this from personal experience. Sorry for trying to be helpful to those people who get games early and are scared to go online. you sound paranoid. Also you dont get fined for going into shops and buying things. Geez oh!

There are fines out there for many things, and I'm sure if a company "really wanted" to they would be more then happy to ram a lawyer down ones throat.

Over on Neogaf people have been permanently banned off Xbox Live for even messaging the people with Halo 4 in their recently played list, and have posted the email from Microsoft explaining the ban.

What intrigues me is Microsoft quickly taking the video down which makes the leak seem more legitimate.

Why not show the cover? Why only two discs that can be easily PhotoShopped and printed ont any 360 disc on a case that could be for any 360 game?
