Nation Post writes: The good news is that the medium is turning a corner. The Dead or Alives of the world are still going strong, but each passing year brings more female game characters who aren’t defined by their cup size. We’re seeing more smart, capable women who can take care of themselves – and maybe even save the world while they’re at it.
Also, lol at Nintendo having never sexualized Samus. I believe in the first game you can get to see her in a bikini.
It would be nice if the people who write these things actually knew what the hell they were talking about.
Though, to be honest, being strong doesn't mean you won't get raped. Women just have to live with the fact that 1 in 4 of us will be sexually assaulted at some point in our lives, and that's in nice countries like the US and Canada. It definitely doesn't make her weak to have survived a rape attempt.
As for her breasts, no, it shouldn't mean her other qualities are ignored, even if those things are big enough to topple her (maybe that's why she moved like a tank in the last game I bothered playing). I think she is a fairly strong woman throughout the series. But... the interviews with the developers are pretty much along the lines of "we made her a sexy woman so that the men playing would feel protective towards her." So, yeah, probably not the first choice I'd make for a game character for a girl to look up to.
Because we all know that the good girls stay home and bake pies. Or they are the soccer mom type and of course those type would never be kinky.
The only thing this guy should be worrying about is his daughter growing up to be proud of who she is and what she does. This article just makes me feel sorry for his daughter.
It's quite funny/annoying to see how hard these devs try to make a "sexy" character and gamers drool over CGI. Maybe I'll never get it.
Have you played Street Fighter X Tekken lol It's so blatant that it gets ridiculous lol
