Commander Shepard Picks Xbox 360 Vice President

IGN - Aliens won’t be invading anytime soon.

After weeks of speculation, Commander Shepard has announced that Marcus Fenix will stand by his side representing Xbox 360 in the 2012 Video Game Presidential Election!

Snookies124208d ago

Lol why is Shepard for the 360? The game is multi-plat so they should've picked an exclusive character. Still, that's a pretty hilarious picture with the look on their faces.

I thought the same thing when I saw this. I thought it would be Master Chief or Marcus Fenix as the main candidate for the Xbox 360

edit @ below: good guesses dude lol

its here http://n4g.com/news/1098401...

Yeah, was expecting Master Chief for sure. I'm guessing the PS3 one will be either Drake or Old Snake. If they haven't shown that one yet, not sure. XD

Edit: Haha wow! Those were good guesses. Not sure how I missed that article, but thanks for the link!

I'm guessing because Mass Effect started on the 360, and therefore Shepherd was deemed an appropriate candidate for the 360. Still you're right I'd prefer Master Chief.

Irishguy954208d ago

It's sorta a 360 lead platform game, which is why ME PC wasn't much of an upgrade(Still miles better)

taquito4208d ago

seeing as all mass effect games are WAY better on pc, I don't get this at all, the 360 version looks like Alpha code to me.

thebudgetgamer4208d ago

To be honest I like what Drake and Solid Snake are going to do with healthcare and the economy.

Snookies124208d ago

Haha, but you have to take into account what Shepard is promising for our national deficit.

thebudgetgamer4208d ago (Edited 4208d ago )

That's true, but I'm a little uncomfortable with their fight now diplomacy later attitude.

TekoIie4208d ago (Edited 4208d ago )

I agree! You can definitely see how talking to complete strangers helped his social skills suring the debate :3

Unfortunately Harbinger (Jim Lehrer) was unable to indoctrinate Shepard and make him lose the debate by default :(

Blankman854208d ago

And what are they going to do about the threat of inter galactic war? What's their solution then? Hide in a box? Climb up a wall/lamp post/side of a mountain for a better view?
These are the hard questions we need to be asking about our potential leaders. I'm not convinced.

TekoIie4208d ago

Excuse me sir but those cardboard boxes are state of the art technology and I would like to see you climb those walls and keep your fingers in perfect condition!

The real question here is why does Snake have a stash of porn mags on him at all times?

Snookies124208d ago

@Pekolie - Porn mags?? I smell a scandal! D:

Convas4208d ago

Well if anyone's going to be doing any climbing, my vote would have to automatically go to Drake.

:3

This is Commander Shepherd and I approve this message

Loved Alpha Protocol in all it's glorious jank. Great game.

SimpleSlave14d ago (Edited 14d ago )

Not only glorious jank, but the idea that the story can completely change depending on what you do, or say, or side with, makes it one of the most forward thinking games ever. The amount of story permutation is the equivalent of a Hitman level but in Story Form. And it wasn't just that the story changed, no, it was that you met completely new characters, or missed them, depending on your choices. Made Mass Effect feel static in comparison.

Alpha Protocol was absolutely glorious, indeed. And it was, and still is, more Next Gen than most anything out there these days. In this regard at least.

Pity.
