The History of Bioware (Infographic)

Over the past seventeen years, BioWare has brought us some of the best RPGs ever released and has established itself as a titan in the genre. More recently, though, it has also brought us a little… heartache. Nonetheless, we decided to honor the hundreds of hours of entertainment this company has bestowed upon us by assembling this infographic of its rich history. (BioWare, PC, PS3, Xbox 360)

Jade Empire, last real bioware rpg, (though Mass Effect 1 and Dragon Age Origins are still a bit above mediocre rpgs. By far, the best bioware game ever created; Baldurs Gate II Shadow of Amn!

R.I.P. Bioware, so glad I still have glorious boxed copies of;

Baldurs Gate
Baldurs Gate II Shadow of Amn
Icewind Dale
Icewind Dale II
Neverwinter Diamond
SW KotOR
Jade Empire

...and all approppriate expansions on pc, I will remember Bioware the way the founders would choose to have me remember them, and honor their greatness by playing at least 1 of those games every 6-8 months, they are truly that good!

aww the good old days of RPGs, they don't make complex games like that anymore.

I was going to say how can you miss Planescape Torment, but just realized Black Isle made that one, that was my favorite RPG ever.

Planescape Torment, beautiful game, excellent characters, deep themes, complex mechanics....love it, but yes, developed by Black Isle, really so was icewind dale, I did actually forget it on the list, black isle/bioware were somewhat interchangeable back then.

awesome games back then.... so hard to find games like that now, the first Witcher is also quite amazing, as is the second but somewhat less so. the drakensang series (not the free to play diablo clone) are also pretty stellar.
