Retro City Rampage Review - Meodia

Retro City Rampage is a fun throw-back to the 80s and 90s. (PC, PS Vita, PS3, Retro, Retro City Rampage) 88/100

Can't....stop.....playing. ....this.....game. Too much happy nostalgia.Too much destructive gameplay. Too...much....fun.

I wasn't sure if they'd manage to pull it off but after playing the demo I have to say it looks like they did. That was way more fun than I had expected. I also noticed a few pop culture references in there too. Not too many, only about 8 or 9 thousand in the whole ten minute demo.

I have seen a ton of them. Ninja Turtles, Bionic Commando, Skate or Die, Gargoyles Quest, Robocop, Batman, Frogger, Duck Hunt, Guerrilla War, Back to the Future, Super Mario Brothers, Paper Boy,Metal Gear,Grand Theft Auto, Contra. I am surprised I haven't seen any reference to Zelda or Castlevania yet.

I saw some playthroughs of the game and it looks freaking amazing. So many references old stuff and even new stuff like the bank robbery from the Dark Knight

Loving it so far. In fact, I liked it so much that I bought it for PC too.
