Alec Meer from "rockpapershotgun.com&quo t; gives a insightful personal perspective of what he feels is missing from those who think that "Dishonored" is too short, uneventful, linear game with not much to offer , but this is far from the truth if only we explore deeper into this epic beautiful adventure.

I agree with everything this guy says. It's not a game to go all guns blazing in to, and you will miss a lot if you just play it like that. Like he says, if you want an fps that lets you shoot everyone in sight, there are tons of games out there for that, this is not really one of those games. Although you can do that, and I'm planning on a playthrough where I just shoot everyone I see. But you will get most of the fun out of it through stealth and experimentation.

I took a stealth/action approach and beat the game-- now I'm replaying and doing no kill/no alerts, and I'm enjoying it much much more, despite having a more limited toolset. Though I freaking loved it the first time through, so it's all relative.

That's pretty much the way I've been playing it, using stealth and knocking a few people out here and there. I'm going to use a bit more force on the next go, and invest in the more aggressive powers. And yeah I agree, it's excellent, I'm loving it as well.

Yeh I'm taking the stealth-knock-ever-single-pers on-out-with-no-kills approach on my first play through.

My 2nd approach is gonna be to kill everything in sight =)

It felt kinda cheap to me… both in terms as a tactic, and game design

There was a small game called Aragami that “borrowed” the blink, that was a good game.

Unfortunately I heard the sequel wasn’t good so I stayed away from trying it out.

The sequel changed some of the mechanics from the first game but it was still a very polished and enjoyable experience. You should definitely give it a shot sometime. The game's currently on sale on Steam

Okay thanks for the heads up, will look out for it being on sale one day.

I really did like the first and played it back to back as soon as I finished the first play through.
