Mass Effect 3: BioWare Explains Why They Made Volus Playable

But not why it and to many other races weren't anything more than stereotypes throughout the whole series.

false, playing one does hinder your chance of getting an ultra rare weapon because the volus are an ultra rare card. There are 2 of them and then unlocking their customization options takes a total of 12 cards. Thats 12 ultra rare weapon cards you could have had.

Well, you're wrong, since not playing a volus does not prevent you from getting those ultra rare volus cards, so they're right, no penalty for playing a volus compared to those who don't.

And people should stop complaining already... it's free, and the volus is actually fun to play as a support character, and really useful.

I'm used to chasing them down and harassing them in the campaign for money or info...this will be a change.
