Five Reasons I'm Looking Forward to Assassin's Creed 3

Tim Bowers is going to start this by being honest; He never liked Ezio Auditore de Firenze. He was never a fan, even after three games with him he was still glad when his story wrapped up at the end of Assassin’s Creed: Revelations.

Maybe it was his fault? He did foolishly play all three games featuring Mr Firenze, one right after the other, in a remarkably short time. The franchise has fallen into a yearly release cycle and maybe without the 11 month gap between games he wasn’t giving myself time to reflect. Maybe it was because he was actually a fan of the first Assassin’s Creed with Altaïr ibn-La’Ahad, and he couldn’t really understand why they’d jumped so far forward and to such an irritating character. Or maybe, and this is just putting it out there, but maybe it was because if you take away the locations, an ability to recruit other assassin’s, a heavily disliked tower defence mini-game and a hook, there wasn’t much really to separate the four games between Assassin’s Creed and Assassin’s Cr...

"none of them can really match the smoothness and charisma of an English bad guy."

Never really thought about it but I guess it is true because the English bad guy is usually well spoken in films and such sounds very sinister in the process. I do hope Ubisoft do not do the well spoken (except for the officers as they would have been true to history) or the traditional cockney voice for the guards as the English do have a vast array of accents. I can just see it happening, as I am running around lots of bad (b-movie like) LANDAN voices appear

Ha ha!
That's so true.
Unfortunately I can't remember the voices of the soldiers I killed when I played through the demo, but I really hope it's not full of one singular accent.

To be honest I'm not sure that there was much of an American accent back then anyway so might be that everyone has a slight english twang to their voice.

i'll give you one reason...its freaking assassins creed.

psvitamanfan4208d ago

I agree with iamnsuperman, if they are using the English, they need a wide variety of regional accents, from well spoken officers, to mancunian and northen soldiers with a mix of middle england and maybe even some welsh.

I only have one. Ben Franklin! My favourite historical figure!

braydox214207d ago

one its assains credd like the guy who said it above.

two: you a have a wider range of choice (in killing your opponet, the bayonet stab through then shoot the guy in front of him is my favourite so far)

three: you get to pilot your own ship that will hopefully be upgradeable.

and another 101 reasons. anyway who is curious about what piece of eden will be found in america,

Bethesda makes the most consistently stupid NPCs, like really bad... yet I still can't help but love playing their games. Guilty pleasure, I guess. *sigh* 😩

How did redfall not make the cut.

My first thought was the safe rooms in the resident evil series. When you hear that enchanting music you know you’re safe.

Killer2020UK264d ago

I literally just came here to post this. That music in the Resi 1 safe rooms is playing in my head.

I was thinking TLOU work benches. Although I remember one time where it was a false security.

Perfect. 👌👌

I'd add the top of my highrise apartment in GTA Online. That calm, quiet peace, just knowing as soon as I step out that door I will be bombarded by 8 and 12 year olds calling each other n**** and f****, trolled by combat jets and rocket launchers.

The entire map of SotC is peaceful as hell. Used to just ride around exploring it.

mastershredder264d ago (Edited 264d ago )

Afterlife in Cyberpunk 2077 is a peaceful area? Erm, hands down and very hard to miss, Misty Olszewski's Esoterica is the absolute epitome of peaceful areas in that game.

The "last of us" deer location i found to be a welcoming respite. It was nice to not have someone trying to eat me.

Kingdom Hearts tend to present half peaceful areas and most of them are amazing.

'Assassin’s Creed III': Ten Years Later

With the recent reveal of Assassin’s Creed Mirage and the promise that the series will return to its roots, there hasn’t been a better time to get stuck into Assassin’s Creed’s back catalog, whether it’s replaying an old favorite or getting lost in previously looked-over classic.

I really enjoyed Assassins Creed 3. My only complaint was that I didn’t enjoy when I had to switch from Connor to Desmond. It’s a personal preference, but Connor’s story was just more fun for me.

On a side note, Black flag was the most enjoyable of the AC games I played.
