Looks like there's still some life left in the long-in-development Gears of War movie, which had once been set-up at New Line Cinema with Underworld's Len Wiseman attached to direct and Twilight's Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey producing.

That has never happened with a movie of a game before, and i doubt it'll happen with a GOW movie. Hollywood need to leave games alone and stop disgracing franchises.
300 made everything look vibrant and gritty and the same time and 90% of the locations and props were CGI but you could have never tell that by just watching the movie.
They should get a gamer to make a movie based on a game, and i mean a real gamer like all of us on N4G.

I would like to see a Gears of war, God of war, and Halo movie and others. But I feel like the big video game franchises will never make it to theaters and if they do they wont be good. Theres always an announcement its being made but never gets done.
There has been multiple Halo trailers that make a movie version look possible but never happens. If a Gears movie happens Ill be happy as long as its done decently if at all.

His movies are always a mess and he butchered Total Recall...I can't imagine him doing much better with the already low-brow Gears of War.
Got to be one of the best game->movie adaptions.
