Square Enix Defends The Surprisingly High Pricing of Their iOS/Android Games

Kotaku - Over the past few years, Square Enix has become something of a force in mobile gaming. The big Japanese publisher, best known for making console role-playing games like Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest, has also found success making solid games for tablets and phones. Some of them are ports of old classics; others are new, original experiences. Many are excellent.

The story is too old to be commented.

Isn't GTA 3 and Max Payne ( Both console games) only like $5 on iTunes?

They are ports, Square made completely new and exclusive games for iOS at the same level of their handheld counterparts, but FF3 should be lower than its current price.

However, what grinds my gear is when iOS games like Dungeon Hunter Alliance cost $5 on iOS, yet it cost $40 on the Vita with little to no improvements. At least with SE games, you're getting a full blown game.
