PSLS: As we told you in our Global PlayStation Store Update earlier today, Retro City Rampage from VBlank Entertainment launch on the PS Vita and PS3 for $14.99, complete with Cross Buy. Well, before you boot up the game and play through a sprawling 8-bit world filled with crazy characters, make sure you download patch 1.01 for the game. (PS Vita, PS3, Retro City Rampage)

Are you crazy lol this game is awesome. Before even finishing the first mission I ran into about ten referances. The duck hunt one was completely unexpected. Sadly this game is for people that remember the 1990's if you are under 25 most people won't see how awesome this game is.

I remember the 70s fella. I always remembered playing games like this and dreaming of when gaming would grow up and we'd get legitimate experiences that rivalled films... and here we are again. I just couldn't stand it. Some people may like it but I loathed it.

@ GribbleGrunger

I can certainly respect and agree with your statement "I always remembered playing games like this and dreaming of when gaming would grow up and we'd get legitimate experiences that rivaled films". We have come a long way from the beginning of gaming, and we have some truly epic experiences we couldn't have even imagined back in the 70's, 80's or even 90's. But the title "Retro City Rampage" kinda tells you the game is a throwback to the "River City Rampage" era. I like the occasional retroesque game, and RCR is a decent game for experiencing that. You certainly have the right to not like it, but I would recommend spending more than a minute with it... especially since you paid for it. It may grow on you... like smegma.

I still have it but have only got to play it once. I don't want to go to the trouble of sitting NEAR up, so I haven't even gotten any more of those puzzles.

i bet 360 owners will feel a bit salty paying $15 for it just to play at home.. $15 to play at home & on the go feels sugary..
