Destructoid Review: Code of Princess

Destructoid- I think Code of Princess will go on to be one of those cult-classic games that gamers will bring up in their 'must-play games' list for the 3DS, just like Guardian Heroes. It's really that good. That 'spiritual successor' label? Totally worthy. This is a beautifully crafted side-scrolling beat-'em-up that has no equal on the 3DS, and the love that went into the localization makes it that much better. If you've found yourself longing an old-school beat-'em-up with a real substance, challenge, and polish, you owe it to yourself to check out Code of Princess. (3DS, Code of Princess) 9/10

Good to see the 3DS getting more of those "cult hits" that made the DS so freakin' amazing.

I guess it's a good thing you had no initial intention to support the developer/publisher.

not sure about support. You never know when those Atlus games are going to be rare. By the time you want to buy it, it's already too late because Atlus did not print enough for the late comers. Dammit, Atlus! just let more people take your money.

PopRocks is 100% right! This game is awesome and worth every penny. To each his own, now that there's a great RPG available and came stateside (fairly quick I might add), you decide not to get it and get it used. Whats the logic behind that? Well, I guess you can't complain about the 3DS not having good games when you don't even support the developer/publisher. It's logic like yours that makes publishers reluctant in bringing games stateside. Be apart of the solution not problem, 9 is awesome!

I just knew Destructoid was going to give this game a high score. They're into this kind of old school games. I want to say that NO, game is not about big tits. They've got all kinds of characters in this game not just big tatas. FYI, character designer is a female artist known for her work in Street Fighter and many games.

Can't wait till later tonight when I'll be able to purchase it. Hopefully they will still have that extra stuff such as the soundtrack and the art book. Mainly want the soundtrack, even though I know I can get it online somewhere would rather have it in hand.

At first I was a little reluctant in purchasing Code of Princes because there wasn't any reviews up; thankfully I did! This is an instant classic and I guess a spiritual successor to one of my favorite Saturn games, Guardian Heroes. At first it was a little difficult learning the controls but after a half hour or so, the gameplay became much friendlier and I was instantly hooked! I'm already lvl 19 with the princess and have encountered a couple of tough bosses already. I'm just happy that the 3DS got such a beautiful sprite-based game that's actually great. Minor gripes are easily forgiven with the amount of content, local/online co-op and vs multiplayer, and the 50 playable characters available as you progress in the story.

All in all, this is one title nobody should pass up, especially RPG and side-scrolling fans. Great job Atlus!

I'm loving the f out of this game! The story mode is really fun, the dialogue is somewhat reminiscent of Kid Icarus since it's kinda silly, but other than that it's fun to hear the character's conversations. This game is a must buy for every 3DS owner!

She's got a nice pair of knockers, but they always manage to cover them with letters and stuff.
