Casual Game Developer: "Windows 8 Is Everything My iPad Isn't"

It’s both a consumption device and a creation device. Although the iPad is trying hard to market itself as a creation device, it just isn’t. (Casual games, Dev, iPad, iPhone, Mobile, PC)

My daughter is very excited about windows 8. She is a big Apple fan. I am now begining to learn about it. This guy make a lot of sense. I will try and see what I can learn about the hardware coming, and the software features. Sounds like it could be a big win for M$. I already see a lot of clearing out of current PC of all kinds and brands. They are being heavily dicounted.

I guess you've never used the Splashtop app before. As far as wanting the real thing, I was speaking of somone who may have an iPad and wanting to run Windows but not wanting to pay an arm and leg for a new device when they can just pay a few dollars for an app that virutally does the same thing :)

You do realise Jesus (the basis of all christianity religions) was born a Jew and then converted/founded Chrisitianity?

Windows 95 is everything my iPad isn't. iOS is an extremely limited operating system.
Godmars290  +   228d ago
Yeah, really have to wonder how something working on a more expansive and powerful platform can't be better than something on a limited and weaker one.
Xof  +   228d ago
I'm not sure what you're saying.

You seem to be implying that the iPad isn't powerful enough to run Windows 95.

Which... is... ridiculous. iOS is way, way more demanding than Win95. Hell, it's probably more demanding than XP.

Win95 only needs 4MB of memory to run.

How bizarre! The guy whose business model is based on Flash games prefers the tablet that supports that platform!!
dubt72  +   228d ago
The games on Windows 8 won't be flash, though, so not really.

I for one am really excited over the Surface Pro model. I mean to be able to run a full Windows 8 OS on my tablet? It really is the ultimate laptop in that regard. I just hope they come out aggressive on their pricing to really compete in the market.
