Huge Cosplay Gallery from EB Expo 12: Gamers dress up for video games show

OXCGN:

"In Japan cosplay is an art and in North America Halloween has long made dressing up fun, so cosplay wouldn’t seem as odd in their cultures, but in Australia the activity is still far from mainstream.

But it is gaining a lot of followers, and many of them took to the EB Expo floor to show off their devotion to their favourite gaming character.

Below are some shots from the Expo by photographer Jesse Coppel. Enjoy." (Culture, EB Expo, EB Expo 2012, Industry, PC, PS3, Wii U, Xbox 360)

Some of the costumes are amazing. I don't have the guts to do it though...

I was at EB Expo last year and there were some amazing cosplay people, but there looks to have been a lot more this year.

Love that assassin girl!

The great thing about gaming expos and the like is that it gives people who Cosplay a sense of community.

While I was there, everyone was complementing each other on their outfits, and the general public were appreciative of their efforts.

The amount of time and money put into some of the costumes there is amazing.

People should be able to have a crack at dressing up if they like, but I agree, some people just try to pull off characters they just shouldn't attempt.
