Activision CEO Bobby Kotick intervened and delayed the game by a year in order to make the game "great".
"Kotick said, 'You know, this game is good. I think it can be great. I need you to spend another year making this great'," Reiche told Digital Spy.
"[He asked,] 'What can you do to make this not only innovative but so far ahead of what other people are doing?'
"And that's when we added the memory inside the toys. Back then, it was a complicated save-game mechanism that didn't feel magical."
He added: "I will always credit Bobby. He was the guy who helped us make Skylanders really great and giving us the time and money to do it. That was a good decision."
But one thing every CoD fan should give the guy is a thumbs up to the fact that no online pass exists in CoD.
The sad part is that if it existed, they would still sell millions...
As much BS you hear about Activision, I got to admit I prefer to buy games from him than EA whom screw you over with Online Passes or try to pull an Origin scheme on you.
I like straight shot, and Bobby seems to deliver.
Only smart kids know that skylanders isnt that of a big deal the toys probably are more atractive than the game itself and that´s why it sells.
And i know what im talking about here because i got some really crappy dragon ball z games and toys back in the day but since i was so hyped for everything dragon ball i would buy it anyways. So yeah i was a dumb kid but a happy one :)
