Does God Of War: Ascension take Kratos to the Next Level? | gamrReview

gamrReview: "God of War: Ascension, then, offers more of the same - that same sense of epic adventure, with a new and interesting multiplayer experience. This mix of evolution and revolution is exactly what you want in a sequel to a long-running series. Hopefully the finished game will be as gratuitously fun as this demo." (God of War: Ascension, PS3)

Damn. Even pro Xbox sites are saying this game is good. Either that or they're just waiting to review to get their troll hits. Either way, the game does look amazing, especially the new multiplayer. Can't wait to give it a shot.

I got to play this at Eurogamer Expo and it was amazing. Could very well be the best God Of War yet.
Also I was a bit worried the multiplayer would be rubbish but thankfully it's amazing! me and my friend played it at least 6 times and had a blast with it.
Really excited for this game now.
It was all just so epic!

Really hope PSplus gets the multiplayer beta soon. Cause it certainly looks very new and intresting.

I am excited but I doubt they can top God of War III. How do you beat those boss fights? You can't. Seriously. You just can't. They gave it heart, too. All of it. Possibly one of the most memorable experiences of my life.

I don't expect them to make a better game than God of War III. I just expect it to be good.

Did you see the potential for what they can do with that Kraken boss battle? This game will be an absolute beast!

Yes. That was pretty nice, but nowhere close to the Cronos, Hades, or Poseidon fights.

If anyone can pull it off it's them. Don't see them making another GOW if it's not bigger and better then the last one. That is usually their goal going in.

That's true, but this one seems like the first two games. Sure, they were fun and epic...but there was very little heart in the story. I didn't actually care about Kratos until GOWIII.

This and GeoW Judgement are on my meh list.

Outside of the cyclops, I wonder what other big bosses they might have. They cannot use any of the ones from previously released titles since you battle them later. Even the furies don't seem to be huge from the trailer shows to us, unless they grow in size for different portions of the fight.

The best thing about GoW is not just the scale of bosses, but how they are used in battle. Most if not every other game out there has a generic large boss battle where it plays out like SotC. GoW varies it like when fighting Ares, Hydra, Cronos, Poseidon, Hades, Gaia and others.

Of course and if you continue playing you might reach the last level and finish the game :)))
