NowGamer: There has been a lot of rumour and gossip this gen, most of them coming true and proving there's no smoke without a fire (PlayStation Battle Royale and Gears prequel, for example).
But what of the rumours that never actually happened? NowGamer looks at the seven biggest.
Thank god that didnt happen!
I guess people don't even read the titles anymore.
Square Enix might as well announce a FFVII remake, since they don't finish projects people care about anymore anyway.
Shenmue 3 was never more than a rumor.
It wouldn't have been for games had it come out anyway, I think platform holders are a bit more sensible than Sega.
Gears Of War 3 was around a 13 hour campaign alone. Your buying into the whole Sony fanboy reasoning.
Nobody gimped anything, if something was too big, they would just split it up into more disks.
Looking on how successful the Yakuza series is doing, Sega might see Shenmue as a step backwards or not appealing to today's audiences. I do know that at least twice, developers and the creator himself said they wanted to do it. There was also supposed to be Shenmue online.
To be able to play as Ryu again and walk down the streets of Japan. Ah, memories.
Then the teasers with a green power button and MGS4 IS DEFINITELY COMING TO 360.
I think that just broke people when it was a game based on MGS4 for iPhone and it all stopped at that point.
Odd.
