TGC writes: Sequels are a common practise in the gaming world – from yearly ventures in the Fifa and Call of Duty, to highly anticipated sequels that are drawn out over six or seven years. For example, the up and coming release of Hitman: Absolution or the even-longer-in-the-making GTA series.
However you look at these types of sequels – more often than not they bring something new and refreshing to the table that differs from the original, making them a standalone game in their own right (besides Call of Duty) and in this regard, here are five instances of games that certainly deserve, but have yet to merit second outings.
@shadowwizard:
Would like to see something with more replayability. Playthroughs where the prime suspect is different.
lol jk But seriously, a sequel wouldn't work. Even with a different set of characters. Would just seem Idk weird. I'd much rather wait for Beyond: Two souls :b
Instead of a HR2, i hope Cage considers making Kara into a game.
I don't think we will see a Heavy Rain 2 not because it was a bad game as it was far form that but I think it could be one of them games that is a one off game.
I could not get into Dead Island but I know a lot of people who like it and would love to see a 2nd game.
As for Prey ive never played it but sounds interesting so I might have a look at picking a copy up.
1. Heavenly Sword
2. Mirror's Edge
4. 2nd Dead Island game has already has a title
3. If you knew anything about David Cage....he doesn't make sequels. Google 'Beyond: Two Souls'
2... I think I went far enough. The last 2 are being made already. Is the 'author' not a gamer? *gasp
