Game-Modo: Resident Evil GameCube Review

Remakes, reboots, revamps and HD collections. It seems every game from yester-year is being dragged into the current gen for a new audience, for the experience, of course and in no way just to be a quick cash-in on older titles. Remakes are not a new thing however. Films are always being remade. Some need it - for example a lot of John Carpenter films are good ideas but not that well made, and the remakes usually end up being quite good. And the same can be said about the PSOne game. This is how a remake is done! I was blown away at how much detail was added to the GC version a mere 6 years later. I still applaud Capcom for this beautiful, yet horrific remake.

Is it more or is this better than some HD remakes today?

This is possibly the best remake ever made! The only other remake that comes to mind that was as good as this, is Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes exclusively on GameCube same as this. I was hoping it would've made its way over to the 360/PS3 with the HD collection but, seeing as it was published by Nintendo and developed by Silicon Knights, it never made it's way.
