DLC Done The Nintendo Way

Nintendo was late to the party on DLC. After knowing that how did Nintendo set such a great precedent, though definitely not perfect, for other developers on their system to make paid DLC? Well Nintendo Gamer Thoughts has a few thoughts, yeah really, about it.

Well, it'd be nice to see some epic Zelda DLC, but why charge money for a few more hours of a game you already paid for? Though, I have to say, Brotherhood of Steel is one of my fav, all time experiences. I just dont think it was quite worth 80 dollars. Damn you Bethesda!! Why do I love your games!?!

I'd hate to see Zelda dlc, you're right there is no point in charging more.

Give me a complete game.

Not a bad idea from Nintendo, I am all for this if done right

There was nothing in this article that points out how nintend did it better.. My best/favorite dlc experience was with warhawk on the ps3. I can't remember how much they were but with the price you would usually get a massive level, vehicle(s), weapon(s), and sometimes game modes. I sunk 700+ hours into that game and i've never had so much use out of a dlc pack.. Everything this writer mentioned was all present in my experience with the warhawk dlc and this was 3 or 4 years ago.

First off thanks for the comment. Secondly as I mentioned in the article it was not about Nintendo doing it better. It was about how they set a good precedent for publishers doing DLC on a Nintendo system.

OHH gotcha my mistake.. That makes sense.

"When it comes to DLC on a Nintendo console/handheld, Nintendo has set a good example". Too be honest everyone has to set a good example. There have been a few examples when DLC (in my eyes) has been worth it. DLC can be great if done right and for an acceptable price.

I think the title is wrong as it implies Nintendo do it right all ready which is confusing because the article suggests ways to do it properly
