XSEED Publishing Ragnarok Odyssey In North America Due To “High Demand”

Ragnarok Odyssey, one of the best selling Vita titles in Japan, is making its journey westward this month thanks to publisher XSEED Games.

The subsidiary of Japan’s Marvelous AQL has a lot of faith in the action rpg and in a response to users on the official PlayStation blog this week, XSEED’s Production Assistant, Brittany Avery explained why. (PS Vita, Ragnarok Odyssey, XSEED Games)

This game is going to be a good game for the Vita. Should have a really fun Online play.

I'm buying it for sure.

very cool !
I din't know XSEED was a publisher because if i remember correct it's them who made Wild Arms no ?
Chrono  +   1102d ago
No, they are just publishers, and only in North America. They localized Wild Arms 4, 5, and the PSP spinoff. Some of the XSEED staff are former employees at Square. Media Vision is the developer of Wild Arms series.

I believe they were just the publisher for Wild Arms as well. I could be wrong, but I think so.

Xseed also published games like YS, Fragile Dreams, Corpse Party, etc.

ok thanks guys i never payed attention at who published and developed some of the games i just remember i saw XSEED when i started Wild Arms. I was just hoping for a new episode of this great saga.

Ragnarok Odyssey will be amazing it is developed by Grandia's Game Arts !!!

Kind of. In some ways yes. They seem to bring most of the games people want over.

Where as Square has Type-0 and V3 still in limbo or not coming over at all.

I still love Square though.

All hail XSEED

I wish they kept vanilla costumes of 2nd jobs from Ragnarok Online. I've seen the vanilla costumes for the 1st jobs.

I'd love more nostalgia from Ragnarok Online :P :D

Hmm...so most of the 100 PS Vita owners demanded it? Cool.

I kid. :P
I love my Vita and will most likely pick this up.

Getting this! *drool*
DivineAssault  +   1102d ago
Its going to be a good game & i have mine pre ordered already but keep in mind that it was a launch window game in japan so its not usually until the 2nd wave of titles like were beginning to receive that will shine a bit better.. No doubt that this will be fun but Soul Sacrifice will own it..

Wow, so much hope for this game.

Guys... it's really not -that- good. It's decent, if you like the genre, but it's hardly groundbreaking. It's the kind of popcorn game that will be forgotten in a year or two after better stuff comes out.

tl;dr Stop pretending it's going to be an awesome game. Creating this much hype is bad for everyone. If you're that hard up for a good game on the Vita, just do yourself a favor and start importing.
