What Goldeneye could teach modern FPS’

It’s the fiftieth anniversary of British super spy James Bond, so Nintendo-Nation.net is revisiting Rare’s 1997 N64 classic Goldeneye and asking, ‘What could Goldeneye teach modern FPS designers?’ (golden eye 64, Retro)

One thing it can learn is, GOLDENEYE was an iconic game. Because it was true to the movie and true to what gaming should be, at a peak that has been lost after the game, the gaming series dried up and lost its appeal

Considering how old the game is, it really did so a great job of staying true to the movie. If a game that is well over ten years old can do it, then why can't many modern games?

Goldeneye cant teach anything todays shooters, i mean many of todays shooters borrow from other shooters who have expanded on console shooters.
characters,weopons, player of the game, bots
But with so many companies introducing level design
Far Cry, Unreal, Halos forge.
It makes goldeneye obsolete now matter how fun it is
