It is just one of those right place, right time and the right name backing it to make it a success.

Case in point, There were several online music services and mp3 players before ipod/itunes. Apple doing their thing with both was what got the attention of the average consumer and made it a huge success even though there are many proclaiming they did it first or were doing it way before.

If something like Sony and Gakai make this idea a success then they should respect the other companies that tried before like onlive.
