Booth babes; Get rid of ‘em

"We all like booth babes at games expos, right? Or do we just say we like them because in this phallocratic society we’re living in that’s what we should say. Of course, for many a sexually-deprived gamer booth babes will be as close as they can get to a beautiful woman in the flesh, but who really benefits from this practice, apart from the publishers? Sure, you may have just got a photo with a few pretty women you don’t know, but if you’re of the mindset this is some kind of achievement, then you’re much less likely to meet a woman (like an IRL G/F) in the long run." (Booth Babes, Culture, E3, Eurogamer Expo 2012)

I actually went to the Eurogamer Expo on the 27th Sept...the way all the nerds were breaking their neck for the booth babes (Virgin Gaming girls in particular) asking them for a picture.

Shortly that day I even heard these Eurogamer volunteers talking about the Virgin Gaming booth babes in particular in an unprofessional manner. Its like none of these guys seen girls like that before or even in their life, coming across overly impressed. I don't mind them because its somewhat a breakthrough to the sausage fest expo.

I don't see the point in getting rid of them to be honest, A less sexualised theme I can understand since young people do attend to these events.
Why these guys feel they achieved something by getting a picture with some random chicks...who knows.

This has nothing to do with videogames and is a bad stereotype the gaming community gets. I'm all for removing them.
