Q&A: New Details for Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified for PS Vita

PS US Blog - ack in August, Jeff and I got a few minutes of hands-on time with Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified, the upcoming PS Vita entry in the battle-tested military combat series. Though the game was early in production, our experience was promising and pointed to a faithful translation of Call of Duty’s signature multiplayer combat to PS Vita’s 5″ OLED screen and dual analog sticks.

Two months later, Activision and developer Nihilistic are shedding new details on this fall’s PS Vita punisher. We caught up with Robert Huebner, the developer’s studio head, for the latest intel drop.

Ask the #1 question that anyone following this game has been wondering: Will there be zombies? If so, I might actually be sold on this. CoD zombies, with local and online co-op, in the palm of your hand? That just sounds too awesome. I read the part about Hostiles missions with infinite waves? Is that zombies? If not, will it at least feature co-op? Come on, there's so much potential in the Vita. Please don't f*ck this one up, Nihlistic.

I really hope Nihilistic really polished the game since its reveal trailer....but its Nihilistic...will have to wait and see.

It has already been confirmed that zombies is not in this game

Im expecting another mediocre title by this Mediocre studio. I don't understand; out of all talents in other places, they had to choose the same guys that put out Resistance BS which was pretty awful and still is to this day, failing to address the players when the next patch will hit.

Thats because their probably too afraid to think out side of the box, or something... Because, if a launch title like Uncharted, and an open world game like Gravity Rush look as excellent as they did as early titles then there shouldnt be any reason why Nihilistic couldnt pull this game off.

Heck LBP:vita looks and plays just the same as the PS3 versions, even with
the moderate load times.

Or theres something missing, like maybe their working on it alone and not getting as much help on the games to the degree that ND did with Bend, and Mm did with Tasier...

But then again Gravity Rush is a completely new Ip, that was created by one studio, and was intended to be a PS3, game but ended up on the Vita (which was a fantastic choice)

So is there any reason why Declassified should look like Black Ops 1, with vasoline over my eyes?...

An interesting mystery is at hand...

I think Nihilistic is getting screwed. They probably just got handed this project a few months ago and have to rush it to get it done in time for the holiday season.

Is the hit detection good because that could be make or break for me.

I played it at a best buy expo on Tuesday it felt good and hit detection was solid. Grenades and knifing are a tad off IMO but it felt good. Graphics were very good too.

Awesome that gives me hope I am pretty sure I will still buy this.

Anyone know when this is supposed to release exactly?

He told me they are pushing towards same day release as console version
