Rayman Legends hands-on preview | BeefJack

BeefJack: "Rayman Legends genuinely feels like an animation come to life before your eyes, taking the already outstanding Rayman Origins formula and upping the visual fidelity to new levels. It also provides the best demonstration yet of why the Gamepad really could be a game-changer for local co-op play, and is looking like it will be an essential purchase when the Wii U launches at the end of November." (Rayman Legends, Wii U)

in another article, i read that this game will support 5 player local co-op. Which is it 4 or 5?

It is - as stated in the preview - 4 players with Wii Remotes plus the player with the GamePad, so 5 in total.

same as New Super Mario Bros U. 4 players with wii remotes, 1 with the gamepad. 5 in total. Although I would argue for Super Mario Bros it is more 4.5 players since the gamepad player doesn't do too much. With Rayman, the gamepad player does a lot more to interact with the game.

This game looks fantastic. I may have to purchase this game as well on launch day.
