Marvel Vs. Capcom: Origins Review | Blistered Thumbs

BT writes: It’s the beginning of autumn and Capcom has once again tapped their vaults to release another HD remake for the fall. Unlike Street Fighter III: Third Strike Online, two of their best retro fighting games will be brought together into one easily downloadable package in Marvel Vs. Capcom: Origins. If you were into fighting games in the 90′s, then you should be familiar with Marvel Super Heroes, Capcom’s second Marvel fighting game after X-Men: Children of the Atom, and Marvel vs Capcom, the company’s first game that was promising enough to make direct sequels out of in 2 versus 2 fighting in the arcade.

In Marvel vs Capcom: Origins, Capcom seeks to bring the series back to its roots on PS3 and Xbox 360, delivering two arcade cabinet titans into your living room in high definition. With tiered achievements, tons of characters, and GGPO enabled netcoding, the online title is definitely something for fighting game enthusiasts to nab on the network. But do the dark patches of this game deter the experience? (Marvel vs. Capcom Origins, PC, PS3, Xbox 360) 8/10
