From Gamersyde: Capcom and their killer thigh simulation is back with a couple of images from Street Fighter IV. The game has yet to be confirmed as a console game, but what the hell - here is finally some 720p resolution action from it.
I hate what they've done to Chun Li's legs. She's more muscular than all the characters I've seen so far lol.
I don't know. They've (legs) always been kinda muscular. BTW: I hope they bring Cammy :P
her legs were always like that !
loving the look... looks VERY clean. Just hope we don't have another Street Fighter EX 3 on our hands.
... pretty much perfect. ...however, Ken and Ryu look like crap. Ryu looks a bit to western, plus his hair is too short. Ken's face is just awfull. I doubt they'll 'fix' them, though. I really REALLY hope they will have Fei Long. He's pretty much my favourite character.
OMG WE HAVE A WINNER HERE CANT WAIT FOR THE GAME PS3 ALL THE WAY
Looking better and better. But can we please not include Dhalsim, he's an awful character.
I love it! It's so stylized. I bet it will win you guys over when you see it moving.
best graphics so far in a fighting game.
but for me the art is HORRIBLE!.. The legs are very muscular, the hands are giant. In general this game looks awful. Maybe the gamepley will be great, and I hope so, since I love street fighter games. They really should reconsider the art. Maybe they should make them like the alpha series, or like the SF2 animated movie, i mean, whatever, but this is unacceptable. I am really disappointed for a nex-gen game. Sorry
I agree and disagree. Until I see video of the game I will hold back from saying anything. These still frames I feel probably don't do the visual ingame justice. Edit: I youtubed it. http://youtube.com/watch?v=... This vid they discuss gameplay a bit. Looks cool to me http://youtube.com/watch?v=... The ingame looks good to me actually. I want to see it in HD though. Also if they want a smooth online experience I think holding back is good. I am a huge SF fan and always have been. I spent days popin coins into SF2. I on most of the SF games as well. So to me this does look pretty amazing. I'm all about the gameplay over looks. Gameplay from the little I seen looks spot on. SF is all about balance and that is key. This game will hopefully live up to its predecessors. P.S. just finished DMC4. GG...
Thanks for that link! Well it still looks really good to me. I understand though the criticism it's been getting. If anything, it really shows how passionate and hardcore streetfighter fans are. For me, I'm all about change and advancement. The team they have on this, the artist is amazing! I actually hung out with them 2 years ago when they where at San Diego. While I wouldn't say his work appeals to everyone and especially to the Capcom art sensability. His work does grow on you, and you begin to realize the genius to it. It's just unfortunate that it's not a mainstream style. BTW, the artist is a practicing capoera fighter, so he's the real deal when it comes to fighting ;)
I'm 1 in 6 billion so I know I can't be alone in saying that I don't like the direction of art style Capcom took with this game.
Didnt like the look of sf4 at first but its looking better and better every update. Im sure it will be good. I hope they fix up kens face a little and perhaps clean up the lighting engine. But im sure they will do everything right. Havent played a bad SF yet (exept fighter jam...that doesnt count). My only concern is apperent the same team that made fighters jam are putting this game together.
The characters look like Capcoms usual character design artwork (not sprites) If anyone has got/seen art books from Capcom for the streetfighter series they will realise the characters always had unusually large feet and hands (Hell! Chun-li's thighs have always been that size even in the original sprites... Ok, maybe she was a bit smaller in the zero games but she was younger then) To me, the graphics fit Capcoms designs more than they have in any previous SF title. I wasn't sure when I saw it originally last year but I'm definately coming around to it more now. Good to see Guile back (although he's missing from any of these screenshots Grrr!) as long as they keep the age old tried and tested SF 2D gameplay and add a bit more, as a streetfighter fan I'll be getting this day one!
