Hackers leak tons of unreleased Xbox Live Arcade games

Digging around in the cover art files for Xbox.com has revealed over a dozen unreleased (and some unannounced) titles. Included among the previously unknown titles are Double Dragon II (Double Dragon Neon was released last month) and Star Wars First Assault.

Other titles — like Toe Jam & Earl, Retro City Rampage, and Karateka — have all been officially confirmed by their publishers. Sega’s HD remake of Nights into Dreams comes out this week, and GamesBeat can confirm the cover art discovered by the hackers is legit.

Funny thing is, some of those I've already heard about. Not sure why this is being sensationalized as a "leak" when most were already on the road to release.

Some look pretty obscure and as such they dont garner as much focus when they first get announced. Yet ones like Nights and Toe jam and earl and many others have been known about for a while now.

Maybe with the passing time we forget about them and then something like this happens and we think these are leaked titles??? IDK.

Technically, if Microsoft didn't wish to have this information leaked, and someone got a hold of it (through an exploit, a basic one but an exploit nonetheless), then yes, it's considered "hacking."

To me, hacking involves doing something a regular person can't do like breaking a password or infiltrating a network. Changing a few letters in a url isn't hacking.

Well i think they just showed 2-3 of there other free to play titles. happy wars being one that star wars game and that special forces game are the main contenders for free to play. There also getting state of decay which ive been fallowing for 3 years ( so glad its finally coming out). Ms may have less exclusive titles than ps3 but they bring it hard in the arcade.

How you know they're exclusives? Double dragon is multi, night into dreams is multi, so how can you conclude the rest will be? Unless they were officially announced as exclusive you can't say/assume they are.

well im pretty sure that state of decay is exclusive ( though its still coming out on PC) I dont think sony would get happy-wars would be on the PS3 from overall direction of the console but its still possible that it may come to Ps3. Honestly i dont really care for exclusivity anyway all i know is from my experience in a certain beta more than 1 of those may be a beta title that ive played.

Keep in mind, some of these titles are already announced and may only be released in japan, like Guilty Gear XX. Also these are not necessarily xbox exclusive.

2 times i went into marketplace arcade and seen a bunch of games up like a month or two before they were released, even some before they were annonced. couldnt download them or anything, but they were there briefly. im not sure but i doubt there was a whole lot of hacking involved. maybe just a ms goof
