Talking Point: The Possibilities of New Super Mario Bros. 2 DLC

The headline for this article may immediately make some think that a big point has been missed, showing a willingness to be suckered into paying more and more for a Mario fix. That’s a danger of course, but with this week’s first batch of New Super Mario Bros. 2 DLC content Nintendo Life can’t help but think that it could be the start of something rather good, even with inevitable negatives to take into account. Could DLC give even greater longevity to 2D Mario games, and allow Nintendo to stick to the "one per system" rule recently mentioned by Satoru Iwata? (3DS, New Super Mario Bros. 2, New Super Mario Bros. U, Nintendo, Wii U)

Does a Mario game really need DLC if it's not another world to play?
