Middle Dearth: whatever happened to the middle tier of videogames?

But the bar for what’s considered big enough has been cranked up in recent years. Radical Entertainment’s Prototype 2 was an anticipated sequel, and topped the NPD Group’s charts at launch. The studio itself enjoyed a decent reputation, with a history of success in the tricky licensed space.
