Down with Demos | TheGameJar.com

Ed Wilson @ TheGameJar.com - "I don’t like demos. It’s taken me a while to realise though. What exactly was he expecting from a Fifa/Pro evo demo? they showcase the new gameplay by providing a match with 2 halfs. Asking for all the features of a Fifa game in a demo is just silly and unrealistic.

What is this guy talking about? The Dead Space demo was fantastic, it perfectly captured the overall mood/atmosphere of the game, and it didn't feel cheap or "unfinished" like the author mentioned.

It sounds like he doesn't like demos because of a few sports related titles, which is interesting, because he sounds incredibly loyal to a few soccer titles already, so he would most likely be picking up the games anyway.

Demos are free. You get to play a retail title for -free-.
This is the first time I've ever heard someone not just dislike a particular game's demo, but -all- demos.
