What Video Games Have Taught Me

Go Critic: It’s nearly impossible to escape the constant crucification of video games by the media. Since the media blitz of the Nineties when, all of a sudden, politicians decided to chime in on the medium as a whole with blanket statements and a general wave of inaccuracy. The effect was a popular opinion that games were a waste of time instead of an expressive medium that could, at times, generate real art; an opinion that the medium still struggles with. Now, we could sit and debate these points until the end of time, so instead I thought it would be more productive to talk about a few things that video games taught me over the years.
