Guild Wars 2 Night Capping Issue 'Valid' Says GW Community Manager

Cliche as it is, "all is fair in love and war" is actually a legitimate reason--as far as Guild Wars 2 community manager Ramon Domke is concerned. In response to a thread complaining about "night-capping" in Guild Wars 2, he had the following to say:

Did the same thing in Aion entire guild stayed up 1 night and took every fortress giving our side a huge advantage on pve stuff for a couple of days. Same for Altarec valley in Vanilla wow rewards werent nearly as big there though.

Too many casual whiners in mmo's these days.

Some people just aren't cut out for the bloodthirsty world of competitive gaming.

Whats the reward in GW2? stay all night with your guild get every tower/keep/camp and the castle all that for what? in the end you just get a msg "Your team has won this match" so i take everything and for what? for a congratulation? please..... im not even going to WvW this week i put 50 hours last week in WvW only all that for nothing not silvers not badges for armors not even a blue piece of something

they could just put a ranking system for rewards in WvW instead of the "pay me 100g and you are a commander" system they have right now, the game will be dead by the end of the year if they keep it this way, is fun for a while but it gets boring if you are doing it for nothing.

^ I don't actually play MMO games but the victory over the other players seems to be enough for most. I dunno. Maybe it gives good experience?

it's not like these server suffer from time zone. like ur aren't going to face US server while ur Server from EU. yah i know about the rumor that there's Canadian who plays in FR. still u can't proof it.

jessupj4223d ago

If it meant getting local Australian servers I'd gladly put up with this crap 10 times over.

If you have local servers, I don't wanna hear any complaining. I have way more to complain about than you.

very much so... "blank" is still a thing" is also still a thing as you can can surmise.

Anet also announced the 5th expansion. "We’ve already started applying lessons from the development of Guild Wars 2: Secrets of the Obscure to our fifth expansion, which we expect to be released next year." From their site, been with this game since 1st beta, and announcing the 5th expansion so soon, the game is doing very well, plus the graphics are improved a bit now that it's on DX11🙃

Correct, and yes. Imo, they've done very well for themselves, and I'm very impressed with what they have achived with GW2 since the game launched.
