Machinarium PSN review – Metallic puzzling with a devilish heart OPM

I (Joel) love a good arty puzzler with understated poignancy – Braid, for instance, is one of my favourite games of recent years. And they’re easy to love and to wax lyrical about: charming visuals, indie sensibilities and any number of allegorical interpretations, should you choose to seek them. These things can cover up for gameplay shortfalls: Limbo’s more about trial and error than actual puzzle-solving, but its looks and atmosphere papered over the cracks. (Machinarium, PS3) 7/10
