Hands On Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, Ten Minutes At A Time | Siliconera

Siliconera: "Capcom brought a localized Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate demo to Tokyo Game Show. I sat down with two Capcom reps and another writer (who also happened to be a pretty good Monster Hunter player) in a four player game. We settled on the easiest mission first and picked Urcusis as our target. Urcusis isn’t one of Monster Hunter’s ferocious monsters. This giant rabbit-bear creature throws snowballs at players and slides on its belly."

Iv got 70 hours on the Wii version and I'm still playing. Don't really want to start all over again...

Yep same here well at least on the part about not wanting to restart especially after taking down Alatreon, but sadly I accidentally deleted my data and was too heart broken to go back. Though I kind of started a new character just been playing off and on when I felt the urge to play.

Yeah I'v heard the 3DS version has no online either (I have a 3DS, don't plan on picking up a Wii U just yet). So no reason to buy this really other than the few extra's.
The amount of Barroth's and Lagiacrus' I've killed just to get the full armour sets...I don't know if i can do it all again.. Im just gonna wait until MH4 comes out

Yep I was sad when I heard the 3DS was going to have no online especially when the online on the 3DS isn't that bad either.

Lol yeah I know what you mean I like fighting them I just don't want to have to do it again, and again, and again >_>

"So, yeah if you want to enjoy Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate plan to spend at least an hour with it and team up with friends. Seeing the game running on a Nintendo 3DS XL was a treat. The larger screen enhances the background depth and while that won’t make you a better hunter the game sure looks pretty."

This is awesome news! I was a little afraid that the conversion to the 3DS in 3D would hurt the overall quality, but it seems that Capcom is one of the only third-party developers that actually know the 3DS's hardware. This is the second person to report that the game looks and plays great. Just goes to show that the 3DS is capable of more than what some believe. The way I see the 3DS is an enhanced Wii with actual shaders and 3D, but slightly less polygons, which is a good trade-off due to the size of the screen. Overall, I'm super excited!

3DS is a toned down PS2.. The wii version of MH3 is superior to the 3DS version & so will the wii u.. Its all the same game tho so who cares right? Just buy both or all 3 if u like MH that much.. BTW YoungPlex, which MH game have u beaten before? U must know plenty about the series to be this excited about it.. U do realize that u will need to create a new save file from the wii if u get the wii u or 3ds version right? Everyone here knows damn well that the pix in this page are high res still shots.. The 3ds version does not look like this in person.. Have u seen the wii high res still shots? its much better looking

Wii version of MH3 gave me a good solid amount of game time.

have over 300 hours and i can say the only reason me and the guys stop playing was because we forgot about the outside world and other new games. Same thing happen when we were playing left 4 dead to get all the achievements. So we stopped and went on to playing other games.

It seems we will all be getting a wiiu and MH3U when it comes out "again"(won't bother with the 3DS version as we don't all have one and i think we are more of the gigantic screen players).

Love the fact we'll have double sword and other list of weapons now.

wow wiiu has so many haters cause sony and xbox fanboys already know that nintendo won the next gen as well...i see articles posting that wiiu is region locked so you can't play monster hunter..when its clearly coming to the u.s...all the hate from 13 year old cry babies that grew up only knowing ps1

DivineAssault 1903d ago (Edited 1903d ago )

i grew up on nes & i think the wii u isnt anything special.. Its good they got MH & Dragon Quest series.. They need good exclusive 3rd party IPs to make em stand apart.. I hate owning multiple systems with all the same games.. Thats why i despise my xbox.. I have no use for it owning a PC & PS3.. Wii U will be different than the rest so i want one.. Just not sold on it yet.. Sometimes its nice to play M rated new IPs.. Just like its nice to play nintendo exclusives.. I dont think anyone "HATES" nintendo, they just thought that all the new multiplat titles would arrive on it too & theyre not.. Again.. Its got the power tho.. Just needs more titles that they like for them to share the same enthusiasm as u do.. MG, RE, Castlevania, Tomb Raider, Watchdogs, Dead Space, & all the other incoming games have no plans for wii u but ppl want to play them so its useless at the moment..
