Hands-on with Fable The Journey: can Lionhead’s experiment redefine Kinect? | Edge

Edge: "Three hours isn’t enough to determine whether this physical element can enhance the emotional connection players have felt to Albion and its people since the original Fable. What’s clear already, however, is that Kinect doesn’t break that bond. The opportunity to get a fresh perspective on one of gaming’s most welcoming worlds will be enough for many to take this journey. Perhaps Lionhead’s most significant achievement is giving you more reasons than that – indeed, more reasons than the majority of Kinect titles – to jump in." (Fable: The Journey, Xbox 360)

The first Fable that I'm not interested in... and I own a Kinect.

what did you think of the demo ? I found that it worked extremily well IMO.

Dont look at it as a Fable game, look at it as a kinect game set in the Fable world. It would actually make no sense for a kinect owner to pass up one of the only 1st party major franchise games made specifically for kinect.

no matter how good this game turns out there will be people who haven't played it dogging it mainly sony fanboys. to me this does look like a kinect game worth owning but I will wait and see.

I have never liked kenect, and I admit that I am a bit worried that the nextxbox will be too kenect oriented.

that said, I do hope Lionhead pulls it off. I love the Fable world and I still have high hopes for the future of the series. As of now this is the only kenect title I am interested in playing....wait and also the dragon game.

The demo was fantastic, I really felt part of the game, probably helps to have a 60 inch HDTV, but I think they did a great job with the game. Its not in the numbered Fable series, and the controls actually work really well.

People here will hate on it, but that doesn't stop me from enjoying a lot of things. Hell, if you went by what the majority here played you'd probably be pretty bored.

This is a lie because sony fanboys love discussion how many unique IP's sony offers so yea.

You are correct, they love to talk about them, beat their chests about how "core" and bad ass all these wonderful Sony exclusives are, yet most of them sell poorly and those same fanboys are too busy trashing everything Microsoft and Nintendo related to actually play those "Awesome" games.

Makes ya think...

I guess your ruse of impartiality just went flying out the window, eh ChunkyLover? Shame, you had everyone fooled.

Anyway, without a hint of sarcasm, you're pathetic. Doubly so for actually believing the vitriolic drivel you spout.

Man I loved fable 2.... This sucks.

The demo was pretty good. Better than Fable 3, at least.

This goes in the (small) list of good Kinect games:

Dance Central 1-2
The Gunstringer
Child of Eden
Fruit Ninja
Kinect Sports 1-2
Rise of Nightmares
Fable: The Journey
