Pre-Order Bonuses and Dates For The PSN Day 1 Digital Promo

We've shown you the games you can expect this month and the top 5 games from the first half of the month, and now Sony has announced that 8 of the biggest releases this month will be available via the PlayStation Network on Day 1.

Ya.. I dont buy digital games on the day of release tho.. If i dont like the game, id be pissed i cant return or sell it.. Physical copies only for me.. Unless i know i love the game & its exclusive

I hope that physical games don't disappear next generation at least. I like to have the box with the manual and the disc. Also, selling the digital version at the same price is disappointing. They don't incur cost of packaging, shipping, and retailers. They should be at most $50.

I fear that if games become all digital, publishers and developers will abuse, just like it has had happened with DLC. They will start implementing any restriction they want, like being online to play an offline game, price the games as they like, restrict the game to one console (or username) which would make it seem as if you rented the game instead of buying it. Corporations are too greedy to let them have a digital only distribution. They won't care at all about the consumer, but the money they make.

Just switch to pc gaming if you want to keep those games forever because you wont be able to trade in/sell them

I just wish all digital titles that were also released Physically would get a slight discount like $5-10. The digital editions that is....

I hope they do this for Hitman: Absolution in November. That's a game I'll play over and over again and it'd be nice to be able to have a copy on both of my PS3s, so that I don't have to constantly move the disc from one to the other. That said, I don't understand why digital copies are not sold cheaper. You get no physical disc, no physical case, no physical instruction manual, they're cutting out the "middle man" and eliminating any possibility of selling or trading the game. So, where is the justification of charging FULL retail price?
