Rant Gaming's Top 30 RPGs of All Time (part I)

You’ll find gamers prefer one genre over another, but most can’t deny a game with a good story. Role-playing games are known for their deep story content and rich characters. As in any video game genre, some RPGs do a brilliant job at storytelling whereas others don’t quite manage to sustain an audience. The team at Rant Gaming has worked together to form a list of their top choices in role-play gaming. (Dark Souls, Dragon's Dogma, Grandia II, Kingdom Hearts II, PC, Persona 3, PS2, PS3, Retro, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Xbox 360)

Morrowind is my favorite game of all time. If you haven't played it i would.

Fallout 3 for sure.

I cannot believe the GOTY version of FO3 is only 20 bucks while games like CoD which have very less to offfer in comparison are still at the 60 dollar price range for years and years.

Fallout 3 is legitimately one of the greatest games every made. It's got both quantity and quality. Amazing story, interaction, gameplay. You're getting too much bang for your 20 bucks.

Final Fantasy 6 is also a really good title.

My heart almost skipped a beat when I thought I saw Final Fantasy XIII at number #27 *phew*

Final Fantasy XII man. I don't think anyone likes XIII much, if recent articles are anything to go by.

I think this article would lose all credit if there was FF13 on the list anywhere.

Dragon's... Dogma? Dragon's Dogma?

...

Dragon's Dogma?

The Runescape reference was a little out of place... Isn't that game pretty much known for being corny and utterly dominated by middle-schoolers?

Other than that, I really need to get my hands on Dragon's Dogma; that game looks too cool.

This is a noob list because they used a pic of Demon's Souls for their #30 which is actually Dark Souls and Demon's Souls isn't #1 overall which it should be.
KingofGambling  +   756d ago
Come on Suikoden II should be on that list.
Now we play the waiting game.

Oblivion always, its so breathtaking and memorable from start to finish

30 games need to be split into 2 parts ? Copy off IGN much ?

This list is questionable already.
