Comparison screens revealed for Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX

Several new screenshots have been revealed for the upcoming Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX, comparing the remastered Playstation 3 version of Kingdom Hearts to the original Playstation 2 copy. (Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX, PS3)

Maybe i love the old resol more... I think this is a fast cash money grab. I know i am going to get downvoted but just give me Kingdom hearts 3. I have enough of the sequels and remakes.

Let's be fair here, people were demanding HD collections for Kingdom Hearts, and they're delivering... kinda.

My only gripe is instead of doing 1, CoM, 2, BBS, they're seemingly splitting it, I'll be surprised if we don't see 2.5 with 2 and BBS.

That too is my only problem.

They're most likely going to do a KH 2.5 ReMIX.

I have no problems with it personally. I've wanted it badly. This may be the first 'reasonable' thing I've seen SE do in...a long time.

I think the second collection will have DDD too. DDD much like BBS is essential to the story. But they can't release a 2nd collection with scenes from DDD too soon or else they would be giving Nintendo the middle finger.

Well, I hope they release this state side
And I hope they get on the ball and release FFXHD. :-) I'm glad that its Final Mix version of KH1 and ReCom. :-)

Don't worry they will.

Looking at the screens shows you how good the ps2 version looked in the first place, things just seem a little sharper.

Sharper, but less colorful.

And to achieve a 16:9 aspect ratio, they cut the image vertically instead of expanding it horizontally.

I'm disappointed with this game, particularly after seeing ZOE HD.

The characters look too shiny for my taste in the HD version also their lacking detail on the faces and clothing.

SE wont show any respect for the last great Squaresoft made game if they put out this washed out artstyle.

Lets hope it's an early build and they'll polish it up.
Wow the gaming industry has gotten lazy. Port this patch this....

This has got to be the weakest attempt of an HD remastered release yet.
YoungPlex  +   1009d ago
Wow, I was thinking the same exact thing! I can't believe that the only thing being remastered is the resolution... Don't get me wrong I'm grateful and all, but the simple fact that they didn't redo any textures or character models like the upcoming FFX HD, makes me wonder how effort (if any), Square-Enix is truly putting into this collection. SMH...

Hmmm like COD? only one trolling & hating is u.. Its cool tho, no1 cares if u dont think its worth it.. I bet if it went somewhere else, u would be jumping for joy now wouldnt u?? get out of here & go back where u belong troll.. Only reason i even comment on wii u articles is cuz alot of the new headlines are on it.. Plus i plan to get it in a yr or so when smash bros drops... Dont worry, u can hope it goes elsewhere still, like the other 99% of 3rd party games..
YoungPlex  +   1009d ago
Wow, what with the name calling? so immature I swear! I could care less if anyone agrees with me, but stooping to such trolling methods is beyond me and I will not engage someone who openly trolls this site! You literally need to check your attitude!

Would love to see this on Wii U/360. Since the series is obviously moving away from being exclusive to Sony, putting the first ones on Wii U/360 would be a great way to get people caught up on the series before the third releases on 360/WiiU

& u know the 3rd will release on multiplat? we will see about that one.. Being that this is an exclusive, im guessing the devs are getting their feet wet before releasing the next installment on PS3.. If it does make it to other consoles, it would only benefit everyone.. Everyone can get a chance to play & devs will make more money but i dont think that will happen

Love the colours in this game...its going to be vivid on the HD

Its a new Sora character model and a new Ansem character model. Looks a lot smoother in motion in the HD trailer. The game now features reaction commands instead of scrolling down to the bottom of your deck to open a treasure chest.
