LittleBigPlanet PS Vita Review | Gaming Age

Paul Bryant writes: It’s no secret that the PlayStation Vita needs some serious hits to help drive consumer excitement for the device. It is also no secret that legitimately great PS Vita games have been few and far between since launch. So, Tarsier Studios and Double Eleven, with the assistance of Media Molecule and SCEE XDev, have combined their talents in an effort to save the day with LittleBigPlanet PS Vita. And with this charming new Sackboy adventure ready to go, save the day they have.

I've pretty much never stopped playing it since it came through my door.

I'd go as far as to say it's my favourite LBP so far!

Can't wait to finish the story and see what those talented folks at LBPCentral etc can do with the new gizmos =D

"I'd go as far as to say it's my favourite LBP so far!"

wow that is big words you know. especially that I so love LBP2.
I am getting LBP vita soon.

Trust me, i loved and played LBP 1 and 2 to the death and couldn't stop myself from buying all the costumes etc.

It blends everything that was good in LBP2 with new gadgets and touch/motion controls that don't feel shoehorned it.

After the disappointment of Resistance when it went to another dev for Vita, i was slightly concerned, but after playing it, i can't tell the difference between Tarsier/Double 11 and Media Molecule games with LBP2 and LBP Vita.

Those 2 studios deserve a massive pat on the back and chunky cash bonus for their hard work as well as hopefully some really good sales on the game =)

I have to admit ive enjoyed it more than the other 3 titles as well. LBP vita is really good.

Am i the only one which feels lke the platforming is alot better in this one? Somehow feels a little less floaty.

"Communicating with other gamers works very well with the Vita’s built in touchscreen keyboard, although there is no voice chat."

I've talked to a few random dudes who join my games so the thing about no voice chat is not correct. Usually I'll just hear a "hey can you hear me?". It works very well too.

To get voice chat to work, you have to hold the home button (Ps button) until the menu pop up and then UN-DISABLE voice chat...
I had to tell that to a number of random people i came across while playing it online...

DivineAssault 1980d ago

ya, it wouldve been nice if it were more user friendly for the online functions like that.. It shouldve been in the main menu settings

one2thr1980d ago

Yeah it should have been, I think they decided to make it a quick action but failed to make it known

kingdavid1980d ago

They shoulda made that on by default.
