Release Radar – 20 Games in Q4 2012 You Should Know About

A collection of staff members from VagaryTV settle on 20 of the most anticipated titles coming in the last quarter of the year.

So, how much money would I need if I wanted, say, all 20 of these?

EVILDEAD3604233d ago

I will literally own 7 of those games for myself, DAY one for all.

But there are at least 4 of them I am buying for Xmas presents and B-day gifts.

This is one expensive hobby..

But at least I won't buy these games this year and throw them all aside for a month because Skyrim took my life away. Only for it to happen again when ME3 came out.

My backlog is STILL ridiculous.

Sadly, I'll only get to buy two. But there are about half of those games I am personally interested in enough to buy, I just simple can't afford it.

Bro I hear you. I say the same thing every year but still end up walking out with my preorders at the end of the day.

October

Resident Evil 6
Dishonored
NBA 2K13
Dance Central 3 (3 copies w/ 2 of them for gifts)
Forza Horizon
Fable: The Journey (not on this list)
Sports Champions 2 for Move (not on this list)

November

Halo 4 (The 320 GB Halo Bundle and another copy of the game)

Black Ops 2 (times 2)

That's still not all the games I want but it'll have to do.

This is an expensive hobby..but it'll be a funny 3 months..which we'll still be playing Borderlands 2

Somewhere around $1500. Provided of course you have all the consoles and handhelds not called the Wii U. :)

I think my wallet is going to hurt a lot this year.

MostJadedGamer4232d ago

Of those 20 I am only in 1. AC3 is the only game I am interested on that list.

napoleon10664232d ago

Then you are indeed the MostJadedGamer.

Sobaer4230d ago

Really? So are you just one of those people that buys one or two games a year? Only play quirky titles mostly? I'm honestly curious.

"Really? So are you just one of those people that buys one or two games a year? Only play quirky titles mostly? I'm honestly curious."

I am interested two games the rest of the year.

#1. Assassin's Creed III-Oct 30- PS3
#2. History Legends of War: Patton-Nov 6- PS3

I have a very strong preference for games in historical settings, but I only play console games because I absolutely hate the PC as a gaming platform.

Great feature!

I'm personally looking forward to more than a few of those myself, particularly Paper Mario: Sticker Star.

Yeah I figured it would be ordered like this. For me Leons best game was his debut. RE2.

Non-playable characters in certain games are meme material, thanks to their foolish behavior. These are the big-budget games with the dumbest NPCs.

Bethesda makes the most consistently stupid NPCs, like really bad... yet I still can't help but love playing their games. Guilty pleasure, I guess. *sigh* 😩

Flawlessmic264d ago

How did redfall not make the cut.

anast264d ago (Edited 264d ago )

Every Bethesda game and Every Halo game. This list needed to have Cyberpunk somewhere.

My first thought was the safe rooms in the resident evil series. When you hear that enchanting music you know you’re safe.

Killer2020UK270d ago

I literally just came here to post this. That music in the Resi 1 safe rooms is playing in my head.

Rimeskeem269d ago

I was thinking TLOU work benches. Although I remember one time where it was a false security.

Perfect. 👌👌

I'd add the top of my highrise apartment in GTA Online. That calm, quiet peace, just knowing as soon as I step out that door I will be bombarded by 8 and 12 year olds calling each other n**** and f****, trolled by combat jets and rocket launchers.

The entire map of SotC is peaceful as hell. Used to just ride around exploring it.

mastershredder269d ago (Edited 269d ago )

Afterlife in Cyberpunk 2077 is a peaceful area? Erm, hands down and very hard to miss, Misty Olszewski's Esoterica is the absolute epitome of peaceful areas in that game.

raiden_188269d ago

The "last of us" deer location i found to be a welcoming respite. It was nice to not have someone trying to eat me.

RPGer269d ago

Kingdom Hearts tend to present half peaceful areas and most of them are amazing.
