The week's top-selling games at retail ranked by unit sales
Its great to see the Nintendo 3DS entertainment system exclusive New Super Mario Bros.2 remains the top selling game in the world today in the wake of other title releasing after. Showing the titles extra long legs on the sales chart. Proving the Super Mario Franchise still has much love and support incoming from the Nintendo Elite fanbase. On top of that, the Nintendo 3DS entertainment system lands in the top spot on the hardware front as well. The Nintendo brand seems to be growing stronger as time goes along. Which is very positive news for the industry as a whole. Rated E For Everyone
And it looks like the Ps3 outsold the Xbox360 WW on the console front as well (If VGchartz is legit today, it looks like the PS3 is only back by 1.8 million units). Sales increased by 4%. Glad that Tekken Tag Tournament 2 sold well too.
PS3 being back or in front matters why to gamer's? Good to see Nintendo with an upwards trend.
@ Chucky More sales, more games. Good to see the Ps3 doing well.
@Chunky Just to piss you off, butthurt hater.
lol if 3rd party cant sell on nintendo systems, why would they develop on it? that shows that nintendo may fall if anything.. Software only company is where its headed if things dont change..
Wow, look at some of those lifetime sales for Wii games! Hardware is not where the real money is unless your charging a premium for it like Apple. Honestly, MS and Sony should work together to come up with a platform spec and build a joint console and focus on game sales.
That would be an absolute dream, having the 2 together.
Looked down the chart and uncharted 3 is at 4.5 million...
I've seen about 5 different sales numbers for Uncharted 3. I have no idea how much games are selling anymore. I'm damn sure Uncharted 3 sold more than 4.5 million, but too many different charts on too many different sites.
