Is downloadable content the future of gaming, or an unnecessary expense to everyone?
On the one hand, it enables us to extend the play time of our favourite games. On the other, that additional content could be expanded on to produce a full, timely sequel to the game in question. Take Bioshock 2’s brilliant Minerva’s Den for example. You would only have to expand on the already impressive three-hour campaign and you would have yourself a ‘Bioshock 3’ of sorts, and it probably would’ve been better than Bioshock 2.
